Learn a life skill along with getting exercise and participating in a challenging sport. We offer multiple levels to comply with you or your child’s comfort level.

Swim Lessons provide important life skills that could save a life, and will benefit you for a lifetime. All YMCA swim instructors are nationally certified and are trained in CPR, AED, First Aid and Oxygen Administration. Swim lessons are ideal for those beyond the age for progressive swim classes yet too young for adult classes. Highly trained aquatics instructors work one-on-one with each participant to set personal goals and meet new challenges. This enables participants to progress at their own pace so that they can develop the skills necessary to swim safely for fun and exercise.

Parent with Child

With a parent in the pool, infants and toddlers learn to be comfortable in the water and develop swim-readiness skills. Parents learn about water safety and drowning prevention.

Pre-School

Kids learn safe water habits, underwater exploration, how to swim to safety and exit the water. Lessons are a mix of activities, games and drills.

Beginner Youth

Starting with water safety and basic swimming competency, kids progress to learn about the four competitive swimming strokes.

Intermediate Youth

Starting with water safety and basic swimming competency, kids progress to learn about the four competitive swimming strokes.

Teen / Adult

Teens and adults can begin with water safety and continue on to learn and refine skills in the four competitive swimming strokes.

Private Lessons

Private swimming lessons can be scheduled one-on-one , with a buddy or sibling and are customized to best meet your needs.
