If you have a desire to participate in a long-distance race, these race training teams can help you get ready for the big race day. Run through drills, practice your form, and have fun all while preparing for your race. By joining one of the race training teams, you will be able to engage with other members of our community and help each other reach your race day goals.
Learn the basics of running through the practice of form drills, running intervals and eventually, non-stop running. Proper form and technique is emphasized so that participants can maximize enjoyment and minimize is open to anyone who is interested in fulfilling a lifetime goal: to run a marathon, half marathon, 5K or just get started.
The training group welcomes all levels, from beginners to Boston qualifiers. Pace groups are set up to ensure a comfortable and safe training pace that meets everyone’s ability.
Whether you need tips for running for your 1/2 marathon or returning for another 26.2 miles, our half and full marathon training teams are just what you need to cross the finish line!
Let the Y’s professional coaches get you in tip-top shape for the Triathlon Training Team. Gather a group of friends and improve your running, swimming and cycling skills through weekly coaching sessions by certified USA Triathlon and USA Cycling professionals. This team is for all levels from beginners to competitive athletes. You’ll receive weekly training and coaching tips along with access to an online triathlon training web forum where participant workouts are accessed.
