Water exercise classes utilize the resistance and buoyancy of the water improve cardiovascular fitness, strength and flexibility. The YMCAs water exercise classes provide motivation, aerobic choreography, improved cardiovascular endurance and muscle conditioning / tone by using the buoyancy and resistance of the water. Non-swimmers welcomed.
Aqua Core & More
Enjoy this unique water fitness class that provides a blend of strength, core toning and flexibility in one fun-filled class! Instructors lead small groups through water aerobics, core strengthening and much more. Gain muscle conditioning and cardiovascular endurance from the aerobic choreography and the resistance of the water. Ideal for all fitness levels, non-swimmers included. All classes are 50 minutes long.
Deep Water Aerobics
This deep water class is geared to train your cardiovascular system as well as give you a total body workout with no impact. Maximize your potential using a combination of deep water exercises, swim conditioning, pool side strength training, aqua- jogging and fun.

This water fitness class will incorporate Pilates, yoga, and tai-chi. It is designed to help participants improve balance, strength and cardiovascular conditioning using the water’s natural resistance. Intensity level will be moderate however, beginners as well as the more experienced water fitness enthusiasts will benefit with this fun and energetic workout!
A fun, shallow-water exercise class that uses a signature splash-board to increase movement and intensity options. Splash is suitable for all skill levels and is safe for non-swimmers. The pool provides many benefits when used for aerobic exercise and resistance training.
AquaStretchTM is a groundbreaking stretching and myofascial release technique that has clinically proven results in rehabilitation and athletic performance. This water fitness class restores mobility, decreases pain, increases training efficiency as well as sports performance and enhances general well-being. Our instructor will work with you to determine where you are experiencing pain or would like relief, and after even just one session, you will begin feeling the results.
Aqua Boot Camp
The most intense aerobics classes we offer uses body sculpting, interval training, and aqua kick. They combine strength training and aerobic conditioning with water resistance to give you an awesome overall body workout.
Class focuses on flexibility and range-of-motion. We move every joint with a goal to reduce and prevent pain around that joint. Easy walking is done to provide cardio benefits and water adds resistance that improves strength and endurance. This class is designed for all ages that have arthritis, joint or pulmonary issues, and is also beneficial for post-rehab participants. Of note, participants can register for more than one class.
Get your body in motion with this active older adults low impact class to improve agility, flexibility, and cardiovascular endurance. No swimming ability is required; class will include work with noodles and water weights. Note: Water ranges from 4’ to 4.6” depending on location. Float belts can be used if desired.
Enjoy water exercise that provides cardio, strength and toning benefits. This class will use buoyant or resistive equipment and is designed for all levels for people wanting a great full body cardio workout, ends with flexibility and stretching. Get your body in motion!
This class gives new meaning to the idea of an invigorating workout. Splashing, stretching, twisting are all a part of this jammin workout. By integrating the Zumba formula and philosophy with traditional aqua fitness disciplines, this class blends it all together in a safe, challenging, water-based workout that’s cardioconditioning, body toning and most of all exhilarating. We’re bringing the Zumba party to the pool!
With the assistance of buoyant equipment, this non-impact class is done completely suspended. Exercises focus on core and increasing cardio, toning and flexibility. Of note, resistance equipment may be used to increase strength and participants must be comfortable in deep water (6 ft.).
