Dance your way to exercising at the YMCA. Join the party and workout to Latin inspired music that creates an exciting and cardio filled workout. Learn new, fun, and easy routines to help tone and sculpt the body.

Combining movement with creative inspiration, dancers develop a personal enjoyment for art and culture while building confidence in expressing themselves. From fundamentals to principles, our dance exercise programs allow participants to learn the art of dance at any age or ability level. We design classes to enhance fine and gross motor skills while cultivating imagination, creativity and social development in a caring environment. Dancing also helps improve posture and body control, offering a fun approach to fitness. Check out your location’s program schedule to find the next dance exercise class!

Cardio Dance

Cardio Dance is a hot follow-along dance exercise class that is as much of a party as it is a workout. This class combines fun, easy to follow dance moves with today’s popular music.

Join the party! Zumba™ is a fusion of Latin and international music and dance that creates a dynamic, exciting, effective cardio workout. These fun, easy routines feature interval aerobic training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body as you dance.

Classes vary each week. Class typically begins with several stretching exercises. Your instructor will then incorporate several world dance styles such as merengue, salsa, reggaeton, mambo, rumba, flamenco, calypso and salsa into the class. Through dance, you get a warm-up, great cardio workout and cool down.
