Camp History

During the late 1990s, the YMCA of Greater Williamson County and Williamson County entered into a long term agreement for the YMCA to develop and manage Twin Lakes Park, a 55-acre county park in Cedar Park. The dream was to create a magical place for kids and their families to enjoy the benefits of recreation, day and residential camps, sports programs, outdoor education and community events in an environment designed especially for them. Today, that dream is a reality thanks to a visionary collaboration between the YMCA, Williamson County, Texas Parks and Wildlife, the City of Cedar Park, Round Rock ISD, Home Depot and LCRA. As a result of this progressive partnership, YMCA Camp Twin Lakes is able to provide access to park-based family recreation as well as a unique, meaningful outdoor experience for over 2,000 children every year.

Why Choose Us

  1. Safety is our number one concern: Under no circumstances will your child be allowed to leave the program with an unauthorized person. Any change in family status which impacts authorized parties for pick-up will require official documentation from proper authorities
  2. Positive Discipline: It is our goal for counselors, children and parents to work together toward cooperative behavior and a cohesive atmosphere. Staff will always notify parents of emerging difficulties and ask for assistance in behavior management.
  3. Activities: We offer camps for your whole family! You’ll find the perfect opportunities to learn and make new friends at any of our camps.
  4. Financial Assistance: We believe that every child and family should have the opportunity to participate in Y Programming, so those not able to pay the full fee may be eligible for financial assistance. Just visit your Y branch’s member services desk or contact us for more details about applying for financial assistance.
