TRIANGLE MEMBERSHIPS

You can now take advantage of the offerings at any Y location in Travis, Hays & Williamson counties with one membership! That’s right – you only need the Y Triangle Membership to work out at any of these 11 great YMCA of Greater Williamson County or Austin facilities. Here’s how it works:

  • If you are a current Y member, upgrade your membership to a Triangle Membership at any YMCA of Greater Williamson County (CHASCO in Round Rock, Hutto, Taylor or Twin Lakes in Cedar Park) or YMCA of Austin (TownLake, Northwest, Hays Communities, Southwest, East Communities, North Park or Springs Family – www.austinymca.org) location. If you are not a current Y member, purchase your Y Triangle Membership outright. Of note, check with the Member Services Desk of the location you choose for rates.
  • While you will receive all of the program and facility perks that are part of membership at the location you sign up at (known as your “HOME BRANCH”), you will also receive the following standard membership privileges at all Y locations in Travis, Hays & Williamson counties:
    • Access to all Cardiovascular, Circuit Strength & Free Weight Equipment.
    • Admittance to Group Exercise Classes & Gymnasiums.
    • Use of Aquatics Facilities* for lap and recreational swimming.

Who can participate at the Y?

All people are welcome to participate in YMCA of Greater Williamson County programs and use our facilities as members, regardless of race, ability, religion, gender, national origin, sexual orientation or income. Everyone belongs at the Y.

Will I be locked into a contract by joining the Y?

No contract is required when you join the Y.

What are my membership payment options?

You may set your membership account to draft monthly from a checking account or credit card.

What makes the Y unique?

The Y is a values-based, character-building, nonprofit membership organization that plays a vital role in contributing to the community. Our values of caring, honesty, respect, responsibility and faith are in everything we do. We plan our high-quality programs around essential elements to help kids grow up caring and responsible. Our staff is caring, competent and experienced. Our training includes safety, management modules, CPR, First Aid and more.

At the Y, young people can develop new skills, increase self-esteem, and make new friends while having fun in safe, nurturing environments. Families can build stronger bonds, achieve greater work/life balance, and become more engaged in their communities. People of all ages and abilities can build a healthier spirit, mind and body.

Financial assistance is available, thanks to the generosity of our donors during our annual Strong Kids Campaign.

Can I access all of the YMCA of Greater Williamson County locations when I join one?

If you purchase a membership at any YMCA of Greater Williamson County branch location, then you can access all of our YMCA of Greater Williamson County facilities. The YMCA of Greater Williamson County currently has four branch locations throughout Williamson County – Cedar Park, Hutto, Round Rock & Taylor. Of note, we also offer a Triangle Membership – where YMCA of Greater Williamson County members have access to the eight YMCA of Austin branch locations.

Is online registration available for membership? Once I become a member, is online registration available for programs and classes?

Currently, in order to join the YMCA of Greater Williamson County or register for any of our programs or classes, you have to stop by your local branch location in person. Notably, we are working on adding online services for membership and program registration in the near future.

Does the Y offer financial assistance for membership and programs?

Y membership and programs are open to everyone. Financial assistance is made available to those who cannot afford the services that the Y provides. These funds come from the generosity of our donors during our annual Strong Kids Campaign. We handle all financial assistance applications and supporting documentation confidentially. For further details on financial assistance, please click here.

How do I volunteer my time to help the Y serve the community?

Volunteering is an important part of the energy and excellence of the YMCA of Greater Williamson County. Y volunteers work at each facility; they help with programs and events; they serve on committees; and some lead as members of branch boards. We are grateful for all volunteer help, and we need a wide range of skills and interests to help us meet the needs of the people and the communities that we serve. Financial Assistance

The YMCA of Greater Williamson County is a non-profit, health and human services organization committed to helping people reach their full potential in spirit, mind and body. The Y recognizes that many of the children and families throughout our community would benefit from Y programs and services but cannot afford to participate. The Y’s commitment to our community assures that financial assistance is available to those who qualify. Our financial assistance is based on a sliding fee scale that is designed to fit each family’s financial situation. Thanks to the generous donors of our annual Strong Kids Campaign, we are able to make the Y accessible through our Financial Assistance Program. The YMCA of Greater Williamson County is exempt from Federal Income Tax under section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions to the YMCA of Greater Williamson County are deductible in the manner and to the extent of the law. Financial Assistance Scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to available funds. The YMCA of Greater Williamson County will provide services for anyone who desires to participate within the available resources of the association. Those not able to pay the full fee may be awarded partial financial assistance based on their demonstrated ability to pay and the Y’s ability to fund the subsidy.

Assistance will be granted on the basis of financial need. All fees are to be kept confidential, as they are specific to the individual and family circumstances. The Y believes that a strong sense of ownership and pride is developed if the financial assistance recipient contributes to the cost of their Y involvement. Therefore, all applicants will be required to pay a portion of the program fees.

  1. Complete the application thoroughly and accurately
  2. Attach the following required documents
    • Last 2 Current Paycheck Stubs
    • Copy of Latest Income Tax Return
    • Copy of Class Schedule if a Full-Time Student
    • Documentation of Social Security or Disability
    • Copy of Child Support/Alimony or Proof of a Pending Case with the Attorney General's Office or Documentation that you DO NOT receive Child Support.
    • Copy of any Federal Assistance, including Food Stamps (TANIF), Rent Subsidy, etc
  3. Return your fully-completed application to your local YMCA of Greater Williamson County branch location.
