TWIN LAKES FAMILY YMCA
On May 23, 2013, the Twin Lakes Family YMCA received accolades from the annual reader’s poll conducted by the Hill Country News. Each year, this local newspaper salutes top businesses in the Cedar Park / Leander area with its “Best of the Best” awards. The winners are determined by readers, who vote in a wide range of categories in order to trumpet their favorite area businesses. This year, the Twin Lakes Family YMCA was voted both "Best Gym" and "Best Organization / Club".
CHASCO FAMILY YMCA
At the end of May, the CHASCO Family YMCA received a 2013 Best of Round Rock Award in the Child Care classification. Each year, across the greater Round Rock area, the Round Rock Award Program chooses the best local businesses to earn the honor of being named one of the Best of Round Rock in a wide range of areas. The award program focuses on companies that have demonstrated their ability to use various marketing methods to grow their business in spite of difficult economic times. The companies selected for honors exemplify the best of small business; often leading through customer service and community involvement.
Thanks to everyone who voted and recognized the outstanding work of our Y staff.

The YMCA of Greater Williamson County is a nonprofit, health and human services organization committed to helping people reach their full potential in spirit, mind and body. The Y recognizes that many of the children and families throughout our community would benefit from Y programs and services but cannot afford to participate. The Y's commitment to our community assures that financial assistance is available to those who qualify. Our financial assistance is based on a sliding fee scale that is designed to fit each family's financial situation. Thanks to the generous donors of our annual Strong Kids Campaign, we are able to make the Y accessible through our Financial Assistance Program. The YMCA of Greater Williamson County is exempt from Federal Income Tax under section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions to the YMCA of Greater Williamson County are deductible in the manner and to the extent of the law.
The YMCA of Greater Williamson County requires that individuals provide all the requested information on the application (which can be downloaded here) regarding income, family size and necessary expenses so that we can provide assistance in a fair and consistent manner. The scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to available funds. The Y also requires that individuals renew their application annually, or when requested, to keep information on their applications updated.
All applicants must meet the following requirements:
Assistance will be granted on the basis of financial need. All fees are to be kept confidential, as they are specific to the individual and family circumstances. The Y believes that a strong sense of ownership and pride is developed if the financial assistance recipient contributes to the cost of their Y involvement. Therefore, all applicants will be required to pay a portion of the program fees.
The Financial Assistance Application is available for download here and also at each YMCA of Greater Williamson County location. To submit your application:
If you feel there are special circumstances that may be a factor in this decision, please provide in writing your explanation along with the supported documentation listed above.
Our staff, based on a thorough review of this application, will then determine financial assistance eligibility. You will be notified by phone, mail and/or e-mail if your application has been approved or if you need to submit additional information. After your application is approved, you will be asked to attend a meeting where you will sign a payment agreement as well as pay the necessary adjusted program registration fees. The YMCA of Greater Williamson County will provide services for anyone who desires to participate within the available resources of the association. Those not able to pay the full fee may be awarded partial financial assistance based on their demonstrated ability to pay and the Y's ability to fund the subsidy.
We would really love to have you, your family and friends as members of our Y Family.
